Talking in absolute terms like “100% stain removal” can be an attractive message as your buyers are seeking an absolute solution to their challenges.
Why does it work?
It works because 100% implies completion and the eradication of issues or unknowns. Whatever the problem you are solving or challenge you help people to overcome, if you offer to resolve 100% of it, then as a buyer you have my attention…
How can you use it?
Being 100% is attractive, but it has to relate to things your buyers actually care about. Be careful not to make false claims and to focus on things that will help your buyer to make a decision.
Example:
A carpet cleaning company advertises:
“100% Stain Removal Guarantee – or you don’t pay.”
This absolute claim instantly grabs attention because buyers want a complete solution. It signals confidence and leaves no room for doubt.
Similarly, a data backup service could say:
“100% Data Recovery Rate on Protected Files.”
