What is it?

Semiotics is all about how we interpret imagery and symbols.

Why does it work?

It works because images can seize attention far quicker than text. It’s possible to “say so much more” with an image than you can with text. A picture famously paints 1,000 words, so it’s important to choose appropriate images to complement your sales messaging.

How can you use it?

What are the images, symbols and themes associated with your offering? How can you use that imagery to seize attention and communicate your offering?

Example

I don’t even need to explain the main selling feature of this tray. I got it INSTANTLY.

Hand placing a black serving tray on a wooden table on it are a red wine glass a milk glass and a water glass
