Practical Sales Training™ > How to connect with your buyer > Number Groups
What is it?
Number Groups are all about creating memorable and visually appealing sets of numbers to help buyers remember and understand your offering.
Why does it work?
It works because as humans, we respond well to repetition and patterns such as alliteration or assonance. Making numbers easier to read and remember can improve understanding and retention in your clients which is essential to success.
How can you use it?
The main thing to note here is that although this can work well, changing the price of your offering or scope of services to make the numbers match isn’t something that’s wise for every business…
That said, number groups can be used for communicating items such as the scope of your offering / pricing.
Hypothetical Example:
A gym creates a membership offer called “3-6-12.”
-
3 personal training sessions
-
6 group classes
-
12 months of access
The grouped numbers are easy to remember, have a natural rhythm, and make the package feel structured and valuable.
Similarly, a marketing agency could structure its packages as:
-
“5 Ads, 10 Emails, 15 Social Posts” – a simple number group that’s far easier to recall than a random list of deliverables.
