What is it?
Offering clients a bulk buy version of what you already offer, but at a discounted rate as they are purchasing more in one transaction.
Why does it work?
It works because buyers feel like they are getting a deal and that it’s a no brainer to buy more of something they are going to be using anyway. As sellers it allows us to sell more and have a larger transaction size as the client buys more than they intended.
How can you use it?
Depending on your offering, can you create a “Mega Pack” or “bulk” offering that includes more of what you already offer but at a discounted rate?
Example:
A massage therapist charges £60 per session.
They offer a “Relax & Restore Pack” — 6 sessions for £300.
That’s £50 per session – a saving of £60 overall.
Why it works:
The buyer feels like they’re getting a deal on something they already value. It also increases client commitment and gives the business better cash flow and predictability.
You’ll often see this in digital offerings too:
“Buy 1 course for £99, or get all 5 for £299.”
