No matter what happens in your business, you need to shield your buyer from the difficulties you are facing and present a unified and professional front.

 

Why does it work?

It works because your buyers don’t care about your troubles. They care about their own.

The moment you move from serving and selling to buyers, towards seeking sympathy from them, you are on thin ice…

Whilst business can be tough, money tight and relationships difficult… the moment you complain to your buyer, you might gain their sympathy, but you’ll lose their respect.

 

How can you use it?

Avoiding sympathy at all costs is the best piece of advice here. Stick to focussing on your buyer and how you can help them. If you are having a tough time, turn to those close to you, not those who buy from you.
