What is it?

The Easy Transition Effect is all about reassuring your buyers that when they transfer over to you, it will be as pain-free as possible.

 

Why does it work?

It works because many of us are worried about delays, risks, costs, inconvenience and compatibility issues when it comes to moving to a new provider. In the UK, the focus on moving bank accounts is something that can seem daunting and difficult, so there has been a TV campaign to explain how easy it is and even to provide a guarantee that nothing will go wrong.

 

How can you use it?

If your clients have to move to you and incur any kind of inconvenience, expense or are worried about making the switch – it can stop them from doing it. List out all of the things that could go wrong or that they are worrying about and then set about explaining how you will eliminate or minimise those risks.

 

Example

A business telecoms provider runs a campaign with the message:


“Switch in 24 hours. We’ll handle everything, and you won’t lose service for a single second – guaranteed.”

They offer:

  • A dedicated migration manager

  • No downtime guarantee

  • All fees covered for breaking your current contract

  • A checklist of exactly what happens and when

Why it works:
They directly address the customer’s fears – disruption, cost, confusion – and remove them. The transition feels safe, fast, and supported.
