Year in review

Understand Your Buyer >How To Keep Your Clients Happy > Year in review

What is it?

Creating a report, a review, that you can present to your buyer can help to “justify” your offering- especially if what you do involves being on standby more so than completing specific projects.

Why does it work?

It works because it provides something tangible – albeit just a pdf or some charts – to help show just what your buyer has been paying for.

Without a tangible year in review and making an effort to demonstrate your value, you could risk losing buyers over time who lose touch with what they are paying for and may feel you are taking advantage of them.

How can you use it?

There are 3 things you can consider including depending on the client.

  • General – list everything your business has achieved/done this year using the biggest numbers possible.
  • Specific – for client deliverables to help justify what they spend with you.
  • Funny– Include a random element for a bit of fun if appropriate.

You can then use photos, charts, imagery or even an infographic to help bring it to life.
