Menu Pricing

Practical Sales Training™  > How To ConvertMenu Pricing

What is it?

Menu Pricing is all about having a fixed price menu which details your offering.

Why does it work?

It works because it can not only eliminate some risks and unknowns in the minds of your buyers, it can also highlight the cheapest part of your offering, allow for up-sell and be used to create deals. Menu Pricing is another form of the path of least resistance where you make yourself as easy to deal with as possible.

How can you use it?

If appropriate and relevant, could you create a simple “menu” of the prices for either everything you offer, or at the very least the most popular things you sell.

This “menu” can not only be shared online, but can also be provided with services or goods as they are delivered to allow for up-sell.

Hypothetical Example:

A small photography studio creates a simple “menu” for its services:

  • Portrait Session – £150

  • Family Shoot – £250

  • Wedding Package – £1,500

  • Photo Editing (per image) – £20

By presenting these prices clearly, clients can see all available options upfront without guessing or asking for quotes. It also encourages upselling: a family looking for a £150 portrait session might upgrade to the £250 family shoot when they see it offers double the time and more edited photos.
