What is it?

The Made by Effect uses who actually made your offering, to convert potential buyers.

 

Why does it work?

It works because buyers connect the quality of an item with it being hand made.  If an item is not only handmade, but also the PERSON who made it is identified, then it also implies a pride in the work / craftsmanship.

 

How can you use it?

Depending on your offering,  and this works more for products than services, consider naming those who “make” the things you sell and actively communicating this. The best way is through a sticker, plaque or even a signature on the item itself. Bonus points for a picture of the actual person if appropriate.

 

Example

Mercedes-Benz AMG have a one man – one engine concept where you know the name of the person who made your engine as it’s stamped on the engine block itself.
