Why does it work?
It works because people don’t want to feel left behind and amy even need to have the “latest” of somethign to know they get the very best from it.
Talking about the potential for future updates can either provide an upsell opportunity or an incentive for buyers to buyer.
How can you use it?
Depending on your offering and your situation, there are two ways to do it:
- Charge for updates– Paying for updates on a satnav on a car for example.
- Make them free – Provide “unlimited”, “lifetime” free updates or for a fixed period.
