The Imperfect Effect allows you to sell damaged or imperfect goods which otherwise might not be offered for sale.


Why does it work?

It works because just like having a budget or starter version of your offering, it provides a potentially cheaper alternative for potential clients to consider. If you have lots of these goods, or “out of season/date” stock then you can also consider creating an entire outlet version of your business.


How can you use it?

Depending on your offering, and this is more for physical goods, consider imperfect or damaged goods and create an obvious and CLEAR “Imperfect” offering. Recognise the fact that you are offering a discount but that it’s to recognise a genuine shortcoming in your offering. This helps to protect your brand and maximise your saleable goods.
