What is it?

Arranging text in a pleasing way such as and ascending or descending list can make it much easier to read.

Why does it work?

Similar to a calligram, where the text forms a recognisable shape, “Pretty Text” appeals to human nature. We are more likely to skim read things in an F shape than read them in perfect order and sequence, so arranging things in a “pretty” way makes it more appealing to read.

How can you use it?

The easiest thing you can do here is to shape your lists into an ascending or descending order as per the image below. The “triangular” shape created catches the eye and makes life a lot easier.
